The Vunjo dialect is spoken in the eastern-central Kilimanjaro areas of Kirua, Kilema, Marangu, Mamba and Mwika. It is also the dialect of most Kilimanjaro mountain guides and porters.

The western dialect of Kichagga, spoken in Hai district. One of the largest Chagga dialect groups.
Kikibosho / Kiuru

The central dialects around Kibosho, Uru and Old Moshi, between the Machame and Vunjo areas.
Kirombo
Rombo · Mashati · Useri · Mkuu (eastern Kilimanjaro)
Spoken on the eastern side of the mountain, bordering Kenya. Rombo speech is noticeably different from Vunjo and Machame.
